Quick Introduction

Many traders want a way to follow clear trading rules without the usual fear or excitement that can cloud judgment. GOLDEN TIMES EA fits that need. It is an automated trading system for MetaTrader 4 (MT4) that puts trend recognition, timing filters, and strict risk control at the center of every decision. In other words, the program waits patiently for quality trade setups instead of firing off orders all day long. This article walks you through what the robot does, how to install it, and what to expect once it is running on your account.

What Is GOLDEN TIMES EA?

GOLDEN TIMES EA is an expert advisor—the MT4 term for a trading robot—designed for:

• Traders who like a rule-based approach
• Investors aiming for steady, low-drawdown growth
• Beginners who do not want to stare at charts all day
• Experienced traders who want to diversify

The EA focuses on three major instruments:

1. EURUSD
2. GBPUSD
3. XAUUSD (Gold)

It runs best on the M15 or M30 time frame and needs only a minimum deposit of about $200 (though anything above $500 gives the program more breathing room).

Setting Up GOLDEN TIMES EA on MetaTrader 4

Below is a step-by-step guide. Screenshots can be handy, but the written outline should get you started quickly.

1. Download the EA file (.ex4 or .mq4).
2. Open MT4 → File → Open Data Folder.
3. Navigate to MQL4 → Experts and paste the EA file there.
4. Restart MT4 so the platform recognizes the new robot.
5. In the Navigator window, drag GOLDEN TIMES EA onto the desired chart (EURUSD, GBPUSD, or XAUUSD on M15/M30).
6. Check the Common tab and confirm:
   • “Allow live trading” ✔
   • “Allow DLL imports” (if required) ✔
7. Click OK. The top-right smiley face should appear on the chart.
8. Consider running the EA on a VPS for 24/5 uptime.

Best Brokers and Account Types

For smooth execution, the EA does best on:

• ECN or Raw-spread accounts — lower spreads offset the commission charged.
• Low latency servers — especially if your VPS is in the same data center.
• Reliable quotes on EURUSD, GBPUSD, XAUUSD.
