Quick Overview

What Is RapidFX EA?

RapidFX EA (sometimes listed as Introducing RapidFX by Empire Market EA) is an automated trading program for MT4. The expert advisor places, manages, and closes trades without manual input. It focuses on two things:

1. Trading during hours the developer believes are calmer and more predictable.
2. Scaling position size with a gentle multiplier when trades move against you.

In simple terms, it tries to “chip away” small profits while avoiding the rough patches in the foreign-exchange market.

How the Strategy Works

Dual Time Filter Explained

RapidFX EA includes two separate time windows:

Why two filters? Some traders want to:

• Focus only on low-spread periods.
• Shut the robot down when major news is expected.
• Keep a late-night session open on a smaller lot size.

You can configure each window inside Inputs → Start_Hour1, End_Hour1, Start_Hour2, End_Hour2.

Practical Example

Start_Hour1 = 7   // opens at 07:00
End_Hour1   = 17  // closes at 17:00
Start_Hour2 = 0   // disabled when Start == End
End_Hour2   = 0

If a trade is still open when the window closes, the EA leaves it alone. New orders are simply paused until the next open session.

Grid / Martingale Element

When a position moves into drawdown, the advisor can add a new trade in the same direction at a slightly larger volume. The setting Multiplier decides by how much:

• 1.0 = fixed lot (no grid)
• 1.2 = lot × 1.2 every new level
• 1.3 = lot × 1.3 every new level (default)

Important: even “1.3” looks small, but after 8 or 10 trades it grows fast:

0.01 → 0.013 → 0.017 → 0.022 → 0.028 → 0.037 → 0.048 → 0.063 …

If price trends hard in one direction, margin can evaporate quickly.

Profit-Taking Logic

RapidFX EA uses two ways to close trades:

1. SingleOrderProfit – e.g., $3 per trade (default)
2. PairGlobalProfit – e.g., $5 for the whole basket

If either goal is met, the EA exits. The idea: capture small sums often while aiming for a slightly larger basket exit when many positions are open.

Back-Test Results & Why They May Mislead

Empire Market shows a 15-year test on EURUSD:

• Net profit: $4,470 on a $1,000 account
• Profit factor: 1.59
• Modeling quality: Control points (very crude)

MetaTrader labels control-point testing as “for quick idea only.” Spread, slippage, and tick sequence are not modeled well. Real accounts rarely match these graphs.

Verdict: The numbers look good at first glance, but treat them as a sketch, not proof.

For an accurate test, you need:

1. Tick-data with variable spread (e.g., Dukascopy ticks).
2. Every-tick model or real-tick model in MT5.
3. Slippage added based on your broker’s order execution.

If you cannot build those tests, use a demo account for at least 4–8 weeks before live money.

Main Settings in Plain Words

Change one variable at a time and journal the effect. Small steps give clearer feedback.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1. Download RapidFX_EA.ex4 from the official seller page.
2. In MT4, click File → Open Data Folder.
3. Navigate to MQL4 → Experts and copy the file there.
4. Restart MetaTrader or right-click Expert Advisors → Refresh.
5. Drag RapidFX EA onto an M5 EURUSD chart.
6. Check the Common tab:
   • Allow live trading ☑️
   • Allow DLL imports ☑️ (if the EA requires it)
7. Open the Inputs tab. Configure Lots, Multiplier, and time filters.
8. Press OK. A smiley face in the top-right corner shows the robot is active.

Tip: Keep AutoTrading off until settings are done. Then enable.

Suggested Brokers, Pairs & Account Sizes

Best-Match Brokers

*Always verify regulation in your country before opening an account.

Currency Pairs

• EURUSD – Narrow spread, deep liquidity, matches developer tests.
• GBPUSD – Acceptable but more volatile; widen distance or lower Multiplier.
• Exotic pairs – generally not advised.

Account Size & Leverage

Higher leverage multiplies risk. A 1:500 account can wipe out quicker than a 1:100 account when lot steps climb.

Pros, Cons & Realistic Expectations

Pros

• Easy-to-edit hours keep trading off during major news.
• Fixed entry gap stops the robot from chasing every micropip.
• Works on standard or ECN accounts, no exotic plugins required.
• Drawdown may stay modest in ranging markets.

Cons

• No hard stop-loss on basket.
• Martingale element means one strong trend can drain balance.
• Relying on control-point tests hides slippage impact.
• MT4 only – cannot use MT5 real-tick modeling.

Real-Life Expectation

Aim for single-digit monthly returns with occasional flat or down months. If anyone promises double-digit gains with no losing streaks, remain skeptical.

Five Practical Risk-Control Tips

1. Lower the Multiplier – Even 1.1 slows growth of exposure.
2. Cap MaxTrades – Set 7 instead of 15 to limit depth.
3. Use Equity Stop – Close all positions if equity falls e.g., 15 %.
4. Schedule a News Pause – Link to Forex Factory Calendar{:target=”_blank”} and stop trading during NFP or CPI.
5. Withdraw Profits Monthly – Protect gains in a separate account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does RapidFX EA need a VPS?A: Yes, if you shut down your PC. A low-latency VPS (below 5 ms to broker) keeps sessions active.

Q: Can I run other EAs on the same account?A: Yes, but each must have a different MagicNumber. Be mindful of total lot size.

Q: How often does the EA receive updates?A: Empire Market has released minor patches twice in the past year. Always read the changelog before upgrading.

Q: Will it work on MetaTrader 5?A: No. The code is compiled for MT4 only.

Final Thoughts

RapidFX EA takes a simple idea—trade only at set times—and mixes it with a soft grid. When markets stay range-bound, it can chip steady gains. When a pair trends fast, the lack of a traditional stop loss can hurt. Treat the control-point report as a marketing preview, not proof. If you enjoy tinkering with settings, keep the Multiplier low, test on demo, and move live only with capital you can risk.
