Quick Snapshot

What Is PLATINUM GOLD REAPER EA?

PLATINUM GOLD REAPER EA is an automated trading robot made for gold only. The code runs on MT4 and places a string of buy or sell orders every 200 points. When price moves the wrong way, the next order increases by a factor of 1.4. The goal is to “recover” earlier losses once price snaps back by 100 points, then close the basket in profit.

If you saw the product name listed as “Introducing PLATINUM GOLD REAPER EA MT4,” it is the exact same robot—just the full marketing label.

How the Grid-Martingale Engine Works

1. Fixed-Distance Entry

• First trade opens at market.
• Next trade kicks in 200 points away.

2. Lot Size Growth

• Lot size = previous lot × 1.4.
• Allows smaller moves to recover earlier losses plus net profit.

3. Take-Profit Target

• Basket closes at 100 points overall gain.
• No stop loss.

4. 24/7 Loop

• Runs around the clock.
• No technical indicators, only price distance rules.

Because gold often whipsaws inside wide ranges, the EA tries to pocket small gains many times a day. The flip side is a build-up of large positions if gold trends straight in one direction.

Key Settings You Must Know

Back-Test Numbers at a Glance

Back-tests were run with 1:500 leverage on a raw-spread broker using only spread cost (zero commission).

⚠️ MetaTrader quote: “very crude method, results must not be considered.” Always forward-test on demo before live use.

Major Benefits

• Full Automation – Once attached to a chart, no manual work required.
• Emotion-Free – Removes panic sell/buy decisions.
• Optimized for Gold – Settings tuned to XAUUSD liquidity and spread.
• Small TP, High Frequency – Many quick trades can smooth equity curve in choppy periods.
• Simple Rules – No complex indicators, easy to audit the logic.

Serious Risks to Keep in Mind

1. No Stop LossUnlimited loss potential. A single strong trend can wipe an account.
2. Martingale ExposureLot sizes snowball. At level 20 the lot is 1.4^19 times the first lot.
3. Broker LimitsMany brokers restrict high lot sizes, causing basket to stall.
4. Spread & SlippageTight grid needs low-cost trading. High spread cancels out profit.
5. Weekend GapsIf positions remain open into the weekend, Monday gaps can be brutal.

Anyone running PLATINUM GOLD REAPER EA should accept the real chance of a margin call. Use money you can afford to lose.

Step-by-Step Installation on MT4

1. Download the .ex4 file.
2. Open MT4 → File → Open Data Folder.
3. Drop the file into MQL4/Experts.
4. Restart MT4.
5. Drag PLATINUM GOLD REAPER EA onto the XAUUSD M1 chart.
6. Allow “Algo Trading” and “DLL imports.”
7. Verify smiley face icon = EA active.

Capital & Leverage Guide

Tip: Lower leverage reduces position size caps from the broker side but also forces you to trade more responsibly.

Five Practical Risk-Control Tips

1. Use an Equity Stop – Close all trades if drawdown hits, say, 30 %.
2. Schedule Off-Hours – Disable trading during major news like US NFP.
3. Set Lower Max Orders – Cut MaxOrders from 20 to 10 to curb snowball effect.
4. Withdraw Gains Weekly – Pull profits so the worst-case loss is limited.
5. Run on VPS – Stable 24/7 connection avoids ghost trades during internet cuts.

Need a VPS? Check MetaTrader VPS inside MT4 or providers like Vultr and Contabo.

Common Questions (FAQ)

Q1. Can I use PLATINUM GOLD REAPER EA on silver or forex pairs?A. Not advised. The grid spacing and lot math are tuned for gold’s price ticks.

Q2. Does it work on MetaTrader 5?A. Only the MT4 build is offered at the time of writing.

Q3. What is the recommended first lot?A. Many users start at 0.01. Lower first lot gives the grid more breathing room.

Q4. Can I change the martingale multiplier?A. Yes, but test on demo. Small tweaks change risk in a big way.

Q5. Why no stop-loss? Isn’t that reckless?A. The system assumes price will come back, so a hard stop defeats the recovery idea. That is the core risk.

Final Thoughts

PLATINUM GOLD REAPER EA offers eye-catching back-test profits, yet its martingale core can swing from fast gains to sudden ruin if gold trends for days. If you decide to run it, keep the lot size tiny, cap the number of levels, and pull profits often. Most of all, use money you are willing to lose.
